The Importance of Clean

It happens that ROTban™ is in the business of cleaning moss, algae, and stains from roofs, building exteriors, and landscape structures, but we think the concept of clean is important in all kinds of ways.

Clean rooms and offices make you feel less stressed. They make you more efficient and happier. Cleaner surroundings are also easier to keep clean. It’s always less work to maintain a level of cleanliness than to let things go and then try to clean up.

The same is true for building exteriors. It’s always easier, cheaper, and faster to clean a roof or building exterior that has just started to get dirty or house some moss. It’s harder to clean these areas when they have been that way for extended periods of time.

Dirt can actually damage materials if left uncleaned. Stains on tables can damage the finish. Stains on fabric can become permanent. Rust on metal parts eats away at the metal. Outside, in southwest B.C., moss, mold, mildew, fungus and algae are the big stain makers and decomposers
that cause unsightliness and rot.

Cleanliness also helps your business because it makes you look better. If the exterior of your building is in disarray, clients will wonder if your bookkeeping is in the same boat. Or your customer service. Or your skills. A bright clean building helps customers and employees feel good about going in. It represents you.

Having a clean roof and a clean building exterior is good business. It can be part of your marketing strategy, as in “tidy inside and out.” Having a clean building exterior will make your clients and your tenants happy, but it looks good. And you will be happier, too.
